[This is going around the flist, so I thought I'd give it a shot. People are writing them in batches instead of every day, which is good for me, because I haven't even written anything from the summer [livejournal.com profile] charloft table yet. No one can technically see these, as they were never actually sent, but if you want to make a meta comment, feel free. There's a list at the bottom in case anyone else wants to do it.]

Letters to: Dean Winchester, Jimmy Olsen, Lucifer, Chloe Sullivan, dreams (aka Verchiel) )

Days list. )

Bonus #1: Select five people from your muse's f-list and have them list five reasons for each person why they're thankful they know them.

[ooc: Multiple verses in this post, including canon. That said, not binding to any muse unless noted. As I have several verses that crossover with Supernatural, I won't specify which unless it's specific to a certain verse.]

"Every man at some point in his life is going to loose a battle. He's going to fight and he's going to loose. But what makes him a man, is that in the midst of that battle, he does not loose himself."

Amazing how one person could seemingly make or break a world. How long Clark Kent had been gone from this one, she didn't know. If she kept track, she would feel the hole that was there since he and Doomsday destroyed each other. Everyone felt the loss, not just in Smallville, but in Metropolis as well. Lana hadn't counted the number at his funeral, but there was a crowd. She'd been there in body, and arm wrapped around the shoulder of his mother. Her mind, however, was barely present. Everything seemed cold and distant and despite in deep ache in her chest, she hadn't cried. Even now, after what seemed like an eternity, she hadn't.

"Sometimes, when one person is missing, the whole world seems depopulated."

She thought they'd gotten past this. She'd made it clear on multiple occasions that the danger of being with him didn't bother her. She didn't want to be safe. Safe was barely living if it meant being without him. He knew that, and she thought he'd accepted it. Somewhere between leaving Dean and their first fight, something had changed.

"I love you, but I can't do this anymore. Goodbye, Lana."

Smallville, though generally undeveloped and open, currently felt very closed off and smothering, and even the thought of work in Metropolis seemed overwhelming. Lana had to get away, so she boarded a private plane destined for a new set of wide open spaces and sent out a text message to everyone she knew.

Don't worry, don't call. I just need some time alone.

[ooc: I'm leaving this open for anyone to reply to by text or phone call. Depending on who is calling, she may or may not pick up her phone. If not, feel free to leave a voicemail.]

[ooc: This is...weird, but the idea came, and I've had a hard time writing anything, so I'm going with it. Basically an AU of SPN 3.11 Mystery Spot. Dean/Lana. Yes, that's what I said. The things I write to get out of a rut.]

If you finish that sentence, I swear to GOD... )

"Um..."

Lana stood on her balcony, looking up at the stars. It had been many, many years since she'd attempted any sort of prayer. Since she'd learned the certainty of the existence of angels and demons, the subject had passed through her mind several times; this was her finally facing it.

"You probably don't care about anything I have to say." She gave a soft laugh. "I mean, who is Lana Lang?" She paused, pursing her lips before continuing. "There's obviously something big happening here, and the Winchesters are in the middle of it all." Another pause. "I know Sam—probably isn't your favorite person right now—and I don't exactly blame you for that—but he's a good man. He's really lost right now, but that doesn't mean he has to stay that way."

Lana took a deep breath. Her eyes were starting to water and it was getting harder to speak.

"Please...I'll never ask for anything else, just-bring him back from where he's going."

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
Cause I've tried and tried to walk away
But I know this crush ain't going away

It was nearing two months since she'd discovered she was pregnant. She was finally getting used to the idea of being a parent, even though it still scared her if she let herself dwell a little too long. She made every attempt to reduce stress, to take things a little easier, which meant less work and more sleep. The morning sickness was beginning to give way to random and sometimes very strange cravings, and there always seemed to be a man around trying to wait on her. Clark was the worst of them. If she could have punched him without hurting herself, she would, but instead she settled for scowling.

However, mood swings and unconventional pizza toppings were the least of her concerns.

While she carried the child of one Winchester, she was developing feelings for the other. It felt so wrong, given the situation, but she couldn't help herself. Sam was just someone she could sit and talk to for hours on end, intelligent and sensitive with the dorkiest sense of humor, but that's why he could make her laugh no matter which direction her hormones decided to drag her. There were times when he looked at her that her chest tightened and she could barely breathe, times when he touched her that her whole body would warm on contact. There were times when she wanted so badly to kiss him, even thought maybe he wanted the same, but she didn't. Her chance with him had gone with that one bad choice, so she would learn to ignore this, and one day, it would go away.

No, no it wouldn't. She'd be lying to herself if she said it would. This dancing around him was already driving her insane and it just seemed to be getting worse. Her mind told her she shouldn't, but she just had this suspicion that someday soon her mood was going to swing his way, and she had no idea how she was going to deal with it.

[ooc: Welcome to the world of meta crack, aka, fic that takes place in my headspace. Written for [livejournal.com profile] obscurum_in_is, this picture being the prompt. The Ruby speaking ([livejournal.com profile] bloodinmyear) and Kira ([livejournal.com profile] melodiousyellow) are mine. Baby daddy!Dean = [livejournal.com profile] hasperkynipples, demon!Dean = [livejournal.com profile] obscurum_in_is and other!Ruby = [livejournal.com profile] ilove_atallman, all mentioned with love.]

"I really don't wanna hear about it, Ruby."

"Why not?" The blonde dipped a fry into the pool of ketchup on the table before her. "Not like you remember the sex with your Dean—or should I call him yo baby daddy?"

Lana sent a look Ruby's way. "You should, because if I recall correctly, he's one of yours."

She nodded. "Yeah, guess you're right. Still—it was damn good. Thought you'd like the details."

"He's a demon."

"Please. Like you're not already screwing one."

"...that's different."

A smirk. "Why? Because she's a Ruby?"

"Shut up."

Ruby took another fry from the pile. "Does this mean you won't help me pick a nickname for my non-shortbus?"

"Go ask Kira. I'm sure she'll be less annoyed."

The demon pushed herself up to a standing position. "Whatever, bitch."

Lana did the same. "That's Queen Bitch to you."

Lana pushed the end button on her cell. It had taken her a few hours, but she finally called Clark. She needed someone to talk to before Dean and Sam got there the next day. Chloe was in Star City, Pete was God knows where...so Clark was the only one left. She wasn't exactly sure how he was going to react to the news, but she knew he still cared and always would, that he would be there for support whenever she needed it.

She plopped down on the couch. If he was at home, he was only a mile away, now that she was back in her old house next to the farm. Not that it really mattered. No matter where he was, she expected him any second. As worried as he would be after hearing she was clearly distressed about something, he wouldn't spare the superspeed.

"Would you fuck me? I'd fuck me. I'd fuck me hard."

[ooc: Chloe is [livejournal.com profile] reporter_chloe, Sam is [livejournal.com profile] likely_evil and Dean is [livejournal.com profile] winchesterjerk. And in case you're wondering—they actually did have this conversation after this little visit from Sam and I'm pulling things from their im log.]

We had sex. Just thought you'd like to know.

It took longer than usual for Chloe to answer the instant message.

...wha?

Lana rolled her eyes.

Sex. You know, that thing that people do naked? I had sex with Sam.

There was another delay. What was going on over there?

I don’t get many things right the first time
In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here

[‘The Luckiest’ – Ben Folds Five]

Someone to turn her life upside down. It was exactly what she needed.
