manorsuperman: (dead inside)
"Love makes hunters of us all."

There are nights when she is restless, when the routine of the day leaves her parched. There is nothing in the warm tones of her opulent dwelling to fill in the cracks; not the art, not her husband, not even her infant daughter who knows nothing of her but milk and need and the comforting familiarity. It's all so empty, so arid to her, and she can't put her finger on why.

And so, she drives. She drives until she finds herself in Metropolis. Her feet take her where they always do, to a club, and she stays until she finds a man. He's the same every time: dark hair, well-built, and tall enough that he has to stoop down to kiss her. Their kisses lead them elsewhere, whether to hotel, her car, or even just the closest place secluded enough to lose themselves in each other.

As soon as it's over, she drives home again.

She's not satisfied, but it's enough.
manorsuperman: (with lex)
He stands near a set of large, clear windows in the mansion, rocking their baby girl and singing softly as Lana watches from just inside the door frame. She hasn't seen Lex be this gentle in years, and never this tender. With the way he holds Juliet and looks down at her with such adoration, she almost forgets who he is. She doesn't see a ruthless ruler, the dark lord she let conquer her not so long ago. She sees a loving father, a king and his little princess who he will watch over all the days of his life.

When he turns and catches sight of her approach, he smiles and announces to their daughter that Mommy is here and shifts her into Lana's arms. When her gaze travels from the baby back to him, back to that bright smile that still graces his face, she wonders if maybe Lex Luthor is a man she could love after all.

It’s that same old song again
I hate it cause it's true

She had no idea how long she'd been trapped here. The last indication, a year and a half, was given to her by Lex, but that was months ago. How many was the question. The days all blurred into one another, no sunlight to indicate when one day began and the other ended, and no matter how much she'd steeled herself against it, the isolation was starting to get to her.

He didn't visit every day anymore. The decline was slow, but in her mind, deliberate. On the good days, she could care less. On the bad days, she missed him terribly. Lana needed that human connection as much as she needed water to drink, and he was the only one who ever stayed longer than a minute. She hated it, but she wanted him there.

The bad days got worse. Soon she didn't just want his presence. She wanted something more intimate, more physical. She took care of that burning on her own, but it didn't satisfy her very long. She needed the touch of another person. She had long given up on Clark, not that he ever touched her much to begin with. It was Lex who filled her thoughts, and the more time that passed, the more desperate she was for him.

One day he opened the cage and joined her, locking the door behind him. Though he wasn't accompanied by the usual guard or two, she didn't even consider running. Her eyes were completely focused on him. He had her right where he wanted her, and he knew it.

It wasn't long before clothes were dropping to the floor, before he was grabbing her by her hair and shoving her face first into the wall. She wished she could say she wasn't enjoying it, that she could stop the loud moaning and cursing that came from her mouth, but she couldn't. She was enjoying every second of it.

When it was over, Lana let herself sink to her knees, breathlessly leaning against the wall for support. She felt his arms go around her as he leaned forward and whispered in her ear.

"Come back to me. Be my wife again."

She felt that final piece of her will break as she answered in a way she never dreamed she would.

"Anything for you, Lex."
