Your Passion is Purple
Sophisticated and classy, you're a bit picky about sex.
You're more likely to be turned on by a fancy hotel room than a dirty flick.
Sex is fine enough, as long as it doesn't mess up your hair.
For you, sex is more about power and favors than actually pleasure.

At first I was torn between the love letter and the naughty picture, but then I remembered my boyfriend is evil and likes to shock and amaze me with his antics. And yet I still chose the love letter.

"Um..."

Lana stood on her balcony, looking up at the stars. It had been many, many years since she'd attempted any sort of prayer. Since she'd learned the certainty of the existence of angels and demons, the subject had passed through her mind several times; this was her finally facing it.

"You probably don't care about anything I have to say." She gave a soft laugh. "I mean, who is Lana Lang?" She paused, pursing her lips before continuing. "There's obviously something big happening here, and the Winchesters are in the middle of it all." Another pause. "I know Sam—probably isn't your favorite person right now—and I don't exactly blame you for that—but he's a good man. He's really lost right now, but that doesn't mean he has to stay that way."

Lana took a deep breath. Her eyes were starting to water and it was getting harder to speak.

"Please...I'll never ask for anything else, just-bring him back from where he's going."

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
Cause I've tried and tried to walk away
But I know this crush ain't going away

It was nearing two months since she'd discovered she was pregnant. She was finally getting used to the idea of being a parent, even though it still scared her if she let herself dwell a little too long. She made every attempt to reduce stress, to take things a little easier, which meant less work and more sleep. The morning sickness was beginning to give way to random and sometimes very strange cravings, and there always seemed to be a man around trying to wait on her. Clark was the worst of them. If she could have punched him without hurting herself, she would, but instead she settled for scowling.

However, mood swings and unconventional pizza toppings were the least of her concerns.

While she carried the child of one Winchester, she was developing feelings for the other. It felt so wrong, given the situation, but she couldn't help herself. Sam was just someone she could sit and talk to for hours on end, intelligent and sensitive with the dorkiest sense of humor, but that's why he could make her laugh no matter which direction her hormones decided to drag her. There were times when he looked at her that her chest tightened and she could barely breathe, times when he touched her that her whole body would warm on contact. There were times when she wanted so badly to kiss him, even thought maybe he wanted the same, but she didn't. Her chance with him had gone with that one bad choice, so she would learn to ignore this, and one day, it would go away.

No, no it wouldn't. She'd be lying to herself if she said it would. This dancing around him was already driving her insane and it just seemed to be getting worse. Her mind told her she shouldn't, but she just had this suspicion that someday soon her mood was going to swing his way, and she had no idea how she was going to deal with it.

Lana pushed the end button on her cell. It had taken her a few hours, but she finally called Clark. She needed someone to talk to before Dean and Sam got there the next day. Chloe was in Star City, Pete was God knows where...so Clark was the only one left. She wasn't exactly sure how he was going to react to the news, but she knew he still cared and always would, that he would be there for support whenever she needed it.

She plopped down on the couch. If he was at home, he was only a mile away, now that she was back in her old house next to the farm. Not that it really mattered. No matter where he was, she expected him any second. As worried as he would be after hearing she was clearly distressed about something, he wouldn't spare the superspeed.

The library was really the only place Lana felt comfortable staying for more than a few minutes. She could only stand to be in isolation for so long, but there was no way she was going to risk mutating anyone any more than she had to. It was perfect: one of the more quiet places in New York, not too crowded, and the desk where she was seated was surrounded at nearly every side with books. She'd always enjoyed reading and just the smell of the room was comforting.

Comfort was what she needed now. Stealing Lex's power suit had to be the stupidest thing she'd ever done in her life. She should have known it was all too easy. He let all that information leak on purpose, put it just far enough out of reach that she wouldn't think twice. He knew exactly what she'd do with that information, how worthless she'd felt standing next to the tower of morality that was Clark Kent. She'd wanted to change all that, to find some way to match that, and she thought she'd found the way to do it, but Lex just used it all to his advantage. Two birds with one stone; a way to bring them back together only to rip them apart.

She could blame Lex all she wanted, but she knew the truth. The choices were hers and she made all the wrong ones. Maybe Lex was right about her. Maybe she really was just like him.

Lana took a sip of her coffee as she stared at what she knew was a two way mirror. Lex Luthor was dead and she was the prime suspect. The turn of the door nob caught her attention, and she watched as the tall black man swaggered into the room.

"Lana Luthor." He nodded to himself. "Guess you took the mentality along with the name."

"I didn't kill my husband, Agent Henriksen. Look at me. Do you really think I could manage something like that?"

"No, not alone." A folder hit the desk, Sam's Little Rock mugshot on the top of the pile. "I think your psycho demon-chasing boyfriend gave you a little help."

"Lex had plenty of enemies. Neither of us had anything to do with it."

Henriksen rested his knuckles on the desk and leaned forward. "If you didn't kill him, Lana, then tell me, what were you doing at the time of the murder?"

Lana leaned forward calmly, mirroring him, not at all intimidated. "Sam."

"Excuse me?"

She gave him a small grin. "I was doing Sam."

He looked at her in disbelief. "You're using sex as an alibi?"

She shrugged. "It's the truth." Her head tilted a little. "Tell me, Agent Henriksen, how did I manage to kill the great Lex Luthor when I was pinned to the bed of a hotel room? You've seen Sam. He's huge." She raised her eyebrows. "And I do mean huge."

He looked at her for a moment before pushing himself back up to a standing position. "You're as bad as Dean, you know that?"

Her grin grew into a smile. "I'll take that as a compliment."

Lana didn't usually speak so bluntly about her sex life, but Henriksen's reaction was well worth it.

We had sex. Just thought you'd like to know.

It took longer than usual for Chloe to answer the instant message.

...wha?

Lana rolled her eyes.

Sex. You know, that thing that people do naked? I had sex with Sam.

There was another delay. What was going on over there?

"People have scars in all sorts of unexpected places. Like secret roadmaps of their personal histories, diagrams of all their old wounds."

[ooc: Please remember that this is history from a previous pan-fandom RP I participated in, and the Bart Allen in this, though of Smallville canon, is several years older than Lana.]

She sat on the edge of lavish sheets, arms limp and shoulders slumped, eyes staring bleakly at nothing. She'd been avoidant in the past few days, barely leaving the room let alone the mansion. Even with Bart she was distant. She flinched at his touch, had to force herself to even look at him. Part of her felt dead. If it weren't for the emotional sting, she would have thought maybe she was.

She thought she'd escaped Isobel Thoreaux forever, that her ancestor was part of her past that was far behind her, but nothing was ever really over in this God forsaken city. Whatever beings were in charge here decided what would and wouldn't be. They brought her here from her own world, and others from theirs, past, present and future. She was grateful to know and love Bart rather than Lex in any form, glad to use the resources left behind by the latter to help rather than harm, more than happy to have known a version of Lois Lane who could be her best friend instead of an annoying pain in the ass. Then there were Kara and Jack. Kara wasn't from her world and Jack was a Power Ranger from 2025, but the both of them were like her children, even if neither was much younger than she was.

For all of this, she wanted to stay. The rest of it was killing her, slowly but surely.

In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here
