I've been wanting to do this for a while, and now a wonderful holiday gift has enabled me to do so.

The new name is from a scene at the end of Void (5.17) that I feel really displays why Lana is the way she is and the way she deals with things. Here is an excerpt from that scene.

LANA: I felt alone for a very long time, even when I was around other people. Even when I was with you. I guess I just wanted to feel their [her parents] arms again. Feel their warmth.
CLARK: Did you?
LANA: Almost. But it'll have to do, because I won’t let myself be that dependent again. No matter what I’m searching for.
CLARK: Lana, all I want is for you to be happy.
LANA: I will be.

I wanted to post something in character before I got to this, but I didn't get it finished in time.

Anyway, one year ago today,

reporter_chloe convinced me to join

theatrical_muse, and so this journal was created. Since then there have been many great prompts and threads, and Lana's played with a great set of canon mates, as well as some not so canon mates. Here's to another year!

And while I'm talking, I want to thank anyone out there who might have nominated Lana and

likely_evil at the

arpea_awards. I didn't know they were nominated for Choice Crossover Couple until I was asked to vote for another couple in another category!
