[ooc: Set several hours after this thing that we started a long friggin time ago. Should have gotten this up sooner.]
It had been a long drive from Smallville to wherever it was they were now. Honestly, Lana hadn't been paying attention. There had been a little talking in the car, but she had mostly listened to whatever conversation was going on, fiddled with her phone or iPod...or watched Sam from the corner of her eye. She couldn't exactly put her finger on it, but there was something very familiar about him, like she'd met him somewhere before. But if she had, she was sure she would have remembered him.
Now they were all settling into their rooms. As she expected, Chloe was wholly set on sharing a room with Dean instead of her. Hopefully there wouldn't be too much noise filtering in from the other side of the wall.
Lana set her bag on one of the beds and sat beside it, starting to pull off her shoes and make herself comfortable.

Sam had his bag on the other bed, unpacking a few things and hooking his laptop up to charge. "Do you want to shower before dinner? I mean, we've been in a car all day..."
no subject
She tried not to laugh. Sam's comment had sounded dirty for some reason, even though she knew better. Apparently she'd been spending far too much time around the new, wilder Chloe.
She lay back on the bed to relax, bringing her feet up with her, knees pointed toward the ceiling. "I think I just want to lay here a few minutes."
no subject
"Alright, then I'm gonna grab one." He found a fresh pair of underwear and a shirt and headed towards the bathroom. "Knock if you need me."
no subject
"Okay." She answered casually, but kept her eyes on the ceiling, for fear if she looked at him her eyes would betray her, or that her face was a little redder than it should be. He didn't need to think she was a pervert, because she wasn't. Not usually.

He escaped into the bathroom, leaving the door open a crack as he took a quick shower. He would come back into the room about 10 minutes later, the undershirt stuck to his still semi-wet torso as he rubbed his hair dry.
"Any word from next door?"
no subject
"Uh, no. No, I haven't heard anything, and I really hope I don't." There was no way of knowing what was going on over there, but Lana knew what her friend was planning, and she didn't want to hear any of it.
Though now her body seemed to want the very same thing from Sam. Stupid sex drive.

And Lana sleeping there... he couldn't notice how pretty she looked sleeping. He had almost hated to wake her.

"What do you want to do?"

"I'm up for talking. Not sure what about, but talking sounds like a good place to start."
no subject
She smiled back at him and said the first thing that came to her mind. "You and Dean are like day and night. I'm surprised you haven't killed each other."

He bit his lip a bit, looking away a moment. His ears were really getting red. "I guess I'm just not that kinda guy. You know... I just... I mean."
Someone please stop him from babbling.
no subject
Lana thought he was adorable, red ears and all. She moved closer and pressed a very quick to the corner of his mouth before turning around to start walking again. She giggled silently to herself, assuming he would follow...or stand there like a shocked but adorable doofus.
no subject
He did both. The whole shocked did she just?! moment, and then he ran to catch up to her. "Why did you do that?"
no subject
She looked straight ahead, hands in her pockets, still very amused. "There are many answers to that question. One of them being you can now form a complete sentence."

Which was him not minding, that it wasn't really a big deal... and he kinda liked it.

Instead he just let his hand fall, then weaved through her arm before he put his hand in his pocket and pulled her closer, giving her a smile.

It was a nice mental picture he planned on storing in his mind for a long time.
