[ooc: Set several hours after this thing that we started a long friggin time ago. Should have gotten this up sooner.]
It had been a long drive from Smallville to wherever it was they were now. Honestly, Lana hadn't been paying attention. There had been a little talking in the car, but she had mostly listened to whatever conversation was going on, fiddled with her phone or iPod...or watched Sam from the corner of her eye. She couldn't exactly put her finger on it, but there was something very familiar about him, like she'd met him somewhere before. But if she had, she was sure she would have remembered him.
Now they were all settling into their rooms. As she expected, Chloe was wholly set on sharing a room with Dean instead of her. Hopefully there wouldn't be too much noise filtering in from the other side of the wall.
Lana set her bag on one of the beds and sat beside it, starting to pull off her shoes and make herself comfortable.

"Okay." She answered casually, but kept her eyes on the ceiling, for fear if she looked at him her eyes would betray her, or that her face was a little redder than it should be. He didn't need to think she was a pervert, because she wasn't. Not usually.

He escaped into the bathroom, leaving the door open a crack as he took a quick shower. He would come back into the room about 10 minutes later, the undershirt stuck to his still semi-wet torso as he rubbed his hair dry.
"Any word from next door?"
no subject
"Uh, no. No, I haven't heard anything, and I really hope I don't." There was no way of knowing what was going on over there, but Lana knew what her friend was planning, and she didn't want to hear any of it.
Though now her body seemed to want the very same thing from Sam. Stupid sex drive.

And Lana sleeping there... he couldn't notice how pretty she looked sleeping. He had almost hated to wake her.

"What do you want to do?"

"I'm up for talking. Not sure what about, but talking sounds like a good place to start."

She smiled back at him and said the first thing that came to her mind. "You and Dean are like day and night. I'm surprised you haven't killed each other."

"What about your mom?"

Awkward silence. She didn't know what else to say. Someone else might have said they were sorry, but Lana had been through that before. After a while, she'd gotten tired of hearing it. Maybe he had, too.

Change of subject and get them out of the room.

"Good idea. Chinese?" She certainly hoped so.

He went over to his laptop, starting it up to look where a local place would be. "Buffet or just cartons?"
