[ooc: Set several hours after this thing that we started a long friggin time ago. Should have gotten this up sooner.]

It had been a long drive from Smallville to wherever it was they were now. Honestly, Lana hadn't been paying attention. There had been a little talking in the car, but she had mostly listened to whatever conversation was going on, fiddled with her phone or iPod...or watched Sam from the corner of her eye. She couldn't exactly put her finger on it, but there was something very familiar about him, like she'd met him somewhere before. But if she had, she was sure she would have remembered him.

Now they were all settling into their rooms. As she expected, Chloe was wholly set on sharing a room with Dean instead of her. Hopefully there wouldn't be too much noise filtering in from the other side of the wall.

Lana set her bag on one of the beds and sat beside it, starting to pull off her shoes and make herself comfortable.

She was very tempted to take a seat in his lap, just to be more comfortable, but that would probably give off the wrong impression. She didn't want to stop either, but after a few more moments, she did, leaning her forehead against his.

His eyes were still closed, breathing a bit faster.

"You meant that one too, I hope."

"Yeah," she whispered.

"Good," he said softly, then titled his chin to kiss her again, pulling her closer.

So much for not sitting on his lap, though she made sure to do it in the least sexual way possible: not too close, with her legs off to the side.

His arms wrapped around her waist loosely, keeping her there but not to pull her too close or to go feel happy as he kept kissing her.

Lana hadn't felt this good in a long time. If it was up to her, she'd kiss him all night. Probably a bad idea, but at the very least she wouldn't stop until he did.

He kissed her a moment longer, then pulled back as he tried to catch his breath. "We should stop... before we go any further..."

"Yeah..." She didn't think she'd let it go too far...but she was in his lap for crying out loud. As innocent as it was now, there was no guarantee it would stay that way.

She didn't move, though, not yet. She just looked into his eyes and ran a hand through his hair.

At the feel of her hand in his hair, he couldn't help it but close his eyes, moaning softly as his head fell back to follow her finger's path.

His reaction made the corners of her lips turn upward, just slightly.

"I should probably get off you now," she said softly.

"You should..." he said softly, but obviously not all that eager to have her go.

She wasn't too eager for it, either. In fact, she was sure she couldn't move, at least not away from him. She was staying put, at least a little while longer.

There was a moment, and well, he took it and pulled her closer, kissing her harder as his arms wrapped around her, keeping her close while his hands suggested she twist around a bit to straddle his lap to be more comfortable.

Her nails dug into his shoulders in response and returned the kiss. She did as his hands suggested, then wrapped her own arms around him.

His hands slowly slid up and down her back, then played on the edge of his shirt, fingertips tickling skin as he leaned back to give her some space to explore on her own.

Several words were going through her mind right now: no, bad, wrong, stop...not directed at him, but at herself. First date...not the typical first date, no. There was definitely some kind of special connection here, but it was still a first date and this was a little...intimate for a first date, at least for her.

None of that really helped. It didn't keep her hands off his chest.

Feeling her touch, he groaned softly as he kept kissing her. He knew he should stop - first date, barely knew her - but he just felt something that made him not want to.

Lana pulled out of the kiss just long enough to gently bite his bottom lip, nails scrapping lightly down his chest, then kissed him again. She would stop this before they did something she knew at least she would regret.

...right?

He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to him as he stood up, shifting them from the chair to sitting on the bed that was next to them. It was less confined. He could move better. And there wasn't a hard back so he was able to slouch down a bit, letting his kisses leave her lips and trail to her neck.

It was just kissing. That was all it was. No harm in that.

... right?

She bit her lip in an effort to silence the soft whimper that insisted on coming out anyway. It had been so long since anyone had touched her like this. She didn't want it to stop.

But it had to.

"Sam..." His name came out breathy and full of desire. She blinked several times and swallowed, still trying to get control of herself. She was finally able to move her hands to gently lift his head again. "Sam," she said, her voice just barely more firm than before, "we really should stop..."

He was panting when she lifted his head up. he blinked, clearing the smoky desire out of his eyes and looked at her in confusion a moment before he licked his lips and nodded.

"Yeah... we probably should..."

But all he could think about now was kissing her. his body just wanted to be close to her. Nothing more... but nothing less.

Her expression was apologetic. "It's not that I want to stop..." Her fingers slipped through his hair again. "I don't...it's just..." She looked embarrassed now. "It's been a long time...and I'm afraid I'll go farther than I intend."

"I don't want you to go... any further than you're... comfortable with." He closed his eyes and leaned his head against her shoulder.

She closed her eyes. "I guess..." Deep breath. "I guess as long as our clothes stay on...and no one's back hits the bed..."
