charloft :: Sunday - Choose Your Own Adventure
[ooc: This is not marked with a point in canon, because it's unclear how far ahead in the future the AU timeline of Apocalypse is and there's no way of knowing when Lana would go to Paris and meet her husband, Pierre Rousseau. So I've left it kinda open.]
Lana was alone at the home of her Aunt Nell and Uncle Dean, taking a break from Met U. The semester had just started and already she was starting to feel overwhelmed. Maybe it was because she was anxious to be done with college already and make the move to Paris. She told herself it wouldn't be much longer, to just hang in there, but it didn't seem to make anything easier. She was just thankful for this time alone.
Or she would be, if someone wasn't knocking on the door just as she was preparing to make herself a pot of coffee.
> Who is at the door?
>>> Jimmy Olsen with a confused look on his face.
>>> Pete Ross with a single rose.
>>> Lois Lane in jeans and a low cut top.
>>> Nell. She forgot something.
>>> Sam and Dean Winchester, complete with suits and fake badges.

I choose #5 (obviously)
Sam and Dean it is!
"Can I help you?"
The shorter one spoke. "Are you Lana Lang?"
"Uh...yeah, yeah I am."
She watched as they quickly flashed their badges, then then giant spoke. "I'm Detective Dante, this is Detective Turner. We're here to question you about some mysterious disappearances in the area surrounds Metropolis University."
>What does Lana do?
>>> She invites them in and asks if they would be interested in a cup of coffee.
>>> She asks them why they think she would have anything to do with it.
>>> She looks at them suspiciously. She hasn't heard anything about this.
Re: Sam and Dean it is!
Why?
She didn't like the sound of this.
"Why do you think I'd have anything to do with something like that?" she asked them, obviously not very pleased. "Is it because I'm from Smallville? Because I wear a piece of meteor rock around my neck? I don't know what you've heard about my hometown, detectives, but it doesn't give you the right to just assume I'm some kind of psychotic freak!"
"Whoa, calm down," 'Detective Dante' said, holding up his hands. "We're not accusing you of anything, Miss Lang. We don't know anything about Smallville."
"Just doing our jobs. I suggest you cooperate."
>Does this appease the little one's outrage?
>>>Yes, she's very embarrassed that she just went off like that.
>>>Not so much as she's just distracted by the fact that they've never heard of Smallville.
>>>No, she's pissed and wants to slam the door in their faces.
Re: Why?
LOL, Sammy, here is your embarrassed Lana.
She lowered her head, a hint of pink coming to her cheeks. "Oh God...I'm so sorry. I can't believe I did that." She stepped back a little to let them by. "Please, come in."
It was really too bad they were only here to ask questions, after which she'd probably never see them again. Now that she was too embarrassed to look up toward their faces, she couldn't help but notice 'Dante' had a very nice body.
"So," she started as she took the chair beside the couch where they were now sitting. "What do you need to know?"
It was 'Turner' who answered her. "Most of the people who've disappeared as of late were invited to parties held on the campus. You were on a lot of the guest lists." He spouted off a few names and the parties they attended. "If you saw anything unusual, you need to tell us."
>What does Lana tell them?
>>>She may have been on those lists, but she didn't actually go to any of them.
>>>She was only there long enough to be seen, then left.
>>>She recognizes a name and starts to cry.
Re: LOL, Sammy, here is your embarrassed Lana.
Only there to be seen.
'Turner' looked confused. "A cheerleader who doesn't like parties?"
"I haven't enjoyed cheerleading since about the time I started high school." Her slightly grim expression made that clear. "But Met U offers tuition money for it, so I stuck with it. I only show up for parties to be seen. Makes life on campus easier."
'Dante' nodded as if he understood. 'Turner' didn't look so sure. "You're sure you didn't see anything?"
"Yeah," she said nodding. "Completely."
>What happens next?
>>>Lana doesn't seem to know anything, so both of them leave.
>>>'Detective Dante' decides to stay and ask some questions about her outburst while his partner moves on to something else.
>>>Someone else knocks at the door, and Lana wonders why the world couldn't leave her alone for once.
Re: Only there to be seen.
Another knock. Oy.
She excused herself from the detectives, and opened the door to find two familiar female faces waiting for her.
"Oh my God, Lana!" the blonde said. "We've been looking all over for you! We just wanted to personally invite you to the next Tri-Psi party!" The brunette nodded.
Great. More parties. She hated those parties. "Of course," she said, putting on a very convincing fake smile.
"Yay! Don't forget to bring some cute guys!"
As soon as Lana shut the door, the smile disappeared and her annoyance was more than apparent.
>Decisions, decisions...
>>>Lana invites the detectives to come with her...to help with the investigation, of course. Not like she has interest in the impossibly tall one.
>>>Lana goes to pour her a cup of the coffee that should be done brewing, only to come back and find the detectives and the invitation nowhere to be seen. But the tall one's number might be in their place.
>>>This is getting boring. Can't Dean just disappear and Sam and Lana make out? Warning: choosing this option will result in a literal interpretation and turning your adventure to crack.
Re: Another knock. Oy.
Wanna go to a party?
"The two of you would count as cute guys, right?"
This seemed to amuse 'Turner'. "Well, I don't know about my partner, but, uh...I've been told I'm quite the looker."
'Dante' rolled his eyes.
"Well, since I can't give you any information, I thought maybe I could just take you to one of these parties. They won't ask any questions if you're with me...though you might wanna lose the suits." She was looking 'Dante' over when she added the last comment, and based on his blushing he seemed to notice.
>Hey, remember video games?
>>>

Save andQuit. End. Fin.Re: Wanna go to a party?
To be continued...right now.
"I've taken several forms of self defense since I moved to this city," she said standing tall and confident. "I assure you, detective, I'm quite capable of taking care of myself."
"That and we're not exactly young enough to pass for typical college students. We kind of need her, Dean."
The one she now knew as Dean mumbled something under his breath, though the only word she could make out was "hots".
Lana couldn't help but smirk a little. "Speaking of first names, it'd be a good idea if I knew yours, too." She might have been flirting, and he might have been blushing again.
"Uh...Sam. I-it's Sam."
"Yeah. And he has a speech impediment."
>Fast forward: party time! Does the party have a theme?
>>>Nope, normal party.
>>>It's a costume party.
>>>School colors: blue and white.
Re: To be continued...right now.
Costume party.
"I don't like costume parties."
"Well, think of it as going undercover. Because you kind of are."
She heard a voice in the background. "One word, Sam: mankini."
"I still hate it."
She couldn't help but be amused. "Oh really?"
"Yeah. Really." It was clear he wasn't.
"You know...a costume party means I'll be wearing one, too."
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and for a second she wondered if the call had been dropped.
"What kind of costume?"
Another giggle. "You'll just have to wait and see, now won't you?"
>What costume is Lana wearing?
>>>A black cat. Meow.
>>>A sexy 50s starlet.
>>>Cleopatra.
Re: Costume party.
Don't cross her path.
Sam noticed her before she got to them and did a double take. She grinned a little, knowing this was a reaction to her costume. Lana had decided on a black cat costume, which was just imitation leather pants with boots, fingerless gloves and top to match, cat ears and some dark stick on nails filed to a dull point.
"Nice costumes."
Dean grinned at her. "Yeah, well, can't beat yours."
Lana smiled and looked over at other, who seemed to be having a few issues with his jaw. "Sam."
"Uh...yeah. You look...nice."
"Real smooth, Sammy."
>Does this plan of theirs work?
>>>Yes, they get into the party just fine, no questions asked.
>>>No, but that doesn't mean the adventure stops here.
>>>They let in Sam and Lana, but not Dean.
Re: Don't cross her path.
Tri-Psi's mascot is a ridiculously tall, demonically tainted geek boy.
"Hi, Mandy."
"Hello, Mandy," Dean chimed in. Mandy didn't look impressed.
"This is Dean, and his brother, Sam. You said bring guys so I did." Lana had no way of knowing the boys really were brothers, but it was certainly a good story, considering the girls of Tri-Psi knew her taste in men by now.
Mandy gave Sam the once over. "He can come in," she said, pointing to him, "but Zero should get back on his horse and ride on home."
"I'm sorry. Zero?" Dean was obviously not pleased.
Mandy raised her hand and gave a prissy little wave. "Bye!"
Lana grabbed hold of Sam's hand and looked back as she started inside. "We'll see you later, Dean."
Once inside, Lana lead them through the crowd, trading smiles with a few people who recognized her. She could hear Sam behind her, trying to get her attention, but she knew what he was thinking. They had to get Dean inside.
She dragged him to a dark corner of the room, right next to a window, and pulled him close to her. "Where's your phone?"
Sam stared at her for a second, obviously a little shocked, but he caught on quickly. "Left pocket."
This was a little awkward for her, but she reached into his pocket anyway and felt for the phone.
"You should kiss me," she mumbled.
>Sammy kissing her?
>>> Yes, right away.
>>> Yeah, but it takes him a few seconds.
>>> No. He's a little dumbfounded. She's going to have to be the initiator.
Re: Tri-Psi's mascot is a ridiculously tall, demonically tainted geek boy.
Do I have to do everything myself?
Sam was obviously a little stunned, too stunned to keep up this charade, so she pulled him down into a passionate kiss. She kept one eye open as she scrolled through his contacts, and finding Dean's name, put it to his ear.
Sam broke away when here was an answer. "Yeah, sorry."
Lana kissed him again, pulling him forward as she stepped back. "Window," she mumbled, indicating the window now behind her.
"Uh, there's a window, right side," he told Dean as he worked to get it open. As soon as it was, Lana pushed Sam against the wall beside it and kissed him again. It seemed Sam was actually starting to get into the act.
"Dude, what the hell are you doing?" she heard on the other en of the line, just before she hung up.
So maybe this wasn't so much an act anymore.
About a minute passed before Dean came climbing in the window. "Hey, Sammy, you coulda helped me in instead of making out with your girlfriend."
Lana grinned at him. "We got you in, didn't we? Zero." She added the last word with a wink, the took hold of Sam's hand again. "I think we should split up. Sam and I will go upstairs and you should stay here and see if anyone's heard anything."
"Right," Dean said, watching them leave. "You kids behave yourselves!"
>What happens when they get upstairs?
>>>They run into the sorority president, Britney.
>>>They rummage around in one of the rooms and find something out of place.
>>>They intend to rummage around in one of the rooms, but get a little distracted. By each other, of course.
Re: Do I have to do everything myself?
Sam and Lana play Fred and Daphne. (While Dean is thinking, "Mmmm...Daphne.")
The black cat and Jedi Knight made their way up the stairs for a look around. Lana knew exactly where she was headed and so she lead Sam along by the hand. It served as cover for their little investigation, but if she were honest, she just wanted the physical contact.
"Uh...Lana?"
"What?"
"Downstairs...was that...that wasn't just for show, was it?"
She looked over at him with a flirtatious little grin. "I might have had ulterior motives."
He was blushing, something she thought was adorable. She gave his hand a light squeeze before letting go and opening the door to one of the rooms.
No one in sight. Perfect.
They each took a side of the room, rummaging around in drawers and closets in search of anything that might be out of place.
"Find anything?"
She sighed. "Not yet." She was just about to move to another area when something poking from under the bed caught her eye. "Jinkies."
"What?"
She lifted what appeared to be part of a Domino's uniform, caked with dried blood.
"You said there was a pizza delivery guy missing, right?"
"Yeah. Looks like the pizza wasn't the only thing on the menu."
They hear a noise. What is it?
>>>Someone's opening the door.
>>>Sam's phone is ringing.
>>>It's a scream. Someone's in trouble.
