But to be honest, I don't wish for anything anymore. Every time I have and I've gotten it, it's never turned out the way I expected. Somehow, something goes wrong. My "less candles" could just be one big candle that tips over and burns down the place. The bubble gum could be already chewed, and Sam? With my luck, it wouldn't really be Sam, just some psycho with a shapeshifting ability who would like nothing better than to see me dead, or maybe a different kind of psycho would drop his bloody corpse on my doorstep.

Sorry, no wishes for me.

Yeah, I can see how that would be true. But M.K. still seems pretty positive to me and I reckon she's lived in Smallville a lot longer than you kids.

Living in Smallville, or knowing I have nowhere near the strength they do? The former is frustrating, but I think the Kents are one of the reasons I keep going.
