sunday_reveries :: Margaret Atwood Quote
[ooc: Sam is
likely_evil. Taking place a few days after this, quotes are obviously taken from there. No matter how it looks, I'm not assuming to know how the unfinished thread is going to end. Not really.]
A truth should exist, it should not be used like this. If I love you, is that a fact or a weapon?
- Margaret Atwood
She lay in bed, hugging the bear he'd given her, staring at the empty space beside her. She should be sleeping, but nothing felt the same. Probably because it wasn't.
Sam's words echoed in her head.
They will kill you if they know.
You can't throw away your life because of me. I won't let you.
Take it back, Lana, please...
She couldn't take it back, and even if she could, it wouldn't matter. Even if the words had never left her lips, she would still love him.
If their enemies, from his world or from hers, wanted to use their love against them, there was nothing they could do about it. She just hoped, for his sake, that she stayed alive. She would chose him even if it meant her death, but he needed someone.
He needed her, and to a lesser extent, at least for the moment, she needed him.
