The question seemed to make Lois even more nervous. "Well, I was just passing through and, um...it really would be better if we talked about this inside. I kinda need to sit down for this one."

Lana knew what a tough girl Lois was, and if she needed to sit down, it must be really serious. "Oh, yeah, sure, come in."

Within a minute the two were inside and sitting comfortably next to each other on the couch.
